All that + a bag of chips

Sara has challenged all of us to post dorky youth/adolescent pictures of ourselves. Tobin has one, and so does Steve. So here goes.

I'm the one on the left, with the Guess jeans. It's the summer between my sophomore and junior years of high school. I still haven't gotten over the Diet Coke and potato chip addiction, as some of my friends can tell you.

I've always been a fan of bathroom humor, so naturally I was obsessed with the outdoor public toilets in Paris even before I first visited. I just had to have my picture taken in front of one. Don't you love the enormous pink windbreaker and the keds? Almost as hot as that super-wide headband. This is from my senior year of high school. I never used that toilet, btw.

On a totally unrelated note, Sandra Beasley says some nice things about Barn Owl Review here. Thank you, Sandra!

I think the dorkier ones must've been burned or something...

PS--Yours weren't dorky, either.

In a million years I would never have thought you would be the one with Guess Jeans. I wore Bugle Boy, but I am a lot older than you. I would have thought it was jerbose (or however you are supposed to spell them) for your set.

By the way, I love my issue of BOR. Thank you!

Oh, not that I couldn't tell it was you, but rather, that I never would have thought you would be the type of person to wear Gj in the first place.

Yeah, I was kind of an enigma, Justin. Though I did own some Girbaud jeans. And I probably would've rather been wearing ratty cutoffs with black tights under them. Oh, the glamour.

So glad you like the owl!
