Open book.

How much of this month has gone, and how much is left? Have I really not updated since January? Did I just help myself feel less chaotic by making a spreadsheet more chaotic? Is it true that I only have 4 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days of being an administrator? Whose phone keeps vibrating offices away, and why can I hear things like that? Is the photocopier/printer combo thing trying to send me a message? Can the rest of this winter please be like recent weeks (and why didn't I realize how much I love sunlight)? Does the dog think of me when I'm not at home? When will I start serious work on my paper for AWP? Will there ever be one standard grant format for everything? Is it time to eat my clementines?

Luckily, there seems to be a bookmark sticking out of your book on the upper left (or is that a plastic bag?). You may close the book and check again later for the answers to your questions. At least that's what my Magic 8-Ball says when I relay your questions. We know from the ancient study of Occult Hermeneutics that when the M8B says this, it is teaching that the Answers do not matter, that we are to let go of all grasping after Answers in general, that we must be content with our ignorance. But just until the M8B reveals that "It is decidedly so" or "Don't count on it."

I keep reading M8B as my initials. What does the M8B say about that?

This blogpost is just lovely. As I read it, it sounded like you were writing a poem.

"Does the dog think of me when I'm not at home? Is it time to eat my clementines?

And why didn't I realize how much I love sunlight?"

Yeah, a poem.

Lyle, I did give some considerable thought to whether or not it was "finished," so perhaps this post was a poem after all.
