The view from here.
Well, okay, this isn't the view from my office (which is actually nicer, but we have those built-in blinds in the windows, and that's not exactly conducive to photography, and I can't open my window without help, even though I am wicked strong these days, believe me). But for some reason I felt compelled to go to the top of the parking deck this morning and take a picture of a very dreary December first. I wish you could see the hills in the distance.
All week I was planning to "work at home" today. Ha! I have way too much on my plate for that, and after all, Winter Break is only two weeks away. I have decided to apply to MacDowell (thanks for all of the pics, Cornshake...I am so jealous) and Yaddo to see if someone will give me a short residency this summer to work on book #2. I don't know how the heck I'll get it done otherwise.
Hello, December! Has this year gone really fast for anyone else?

Yes, it has. We have two small children, so we've all spent most of the fall sick.
Achoo.
