The view from here.

Well, okay, this isn't the view from my office (which is actually nicer, but we have those built-in blinds in the windows, and that's not exactly conducive to photography, and I can't open my window without help, even though I am wicked strong these days, believe me). But for some reason I felt compelled to go to the top of the parking deck this morning and take a picture of a very dreary December first. I wish you could see the hills in the distance.

I have decided to apply to MacDowell (thanks for all of the pics, Cornshake...I am so jealous) and Yaddo to see if someone will give me a short residency this summer to work on book #2. I don't know how the heck I'll get it done otherwise.

Hello, December! Has this year gone really fast for anyone else?
