Looking up.

It's been really dry here this summer, so these roiling clouds aren't bad news, unless you're the owner of a 11 week old puppy who doesn't like to go outside in the rain even when she needs to go. I remember my dad escorting our dog around the yard with an umbrella, but Rubi is almost too small for that. Any advice from the dog folks (other than buying another roll of paper towels)?

Ray is feeling much, much better, so I have a bit of time to recover my desk and house. I always plan to make summer the time for catching up and relaxing (ha!), but somehow the piles keep piling up, whether it's cross-registration forms or unfolded onesies.

We really need to fence our yard--at least part of it. Who knew that fences are really freaking expensive? I wish there were such thing as College Fencers, like those painters, who would come do it on the cheap.

I can't wait to check this out soon.

You are easily the best camera-phone photographer out there. Photographeuse, if you prefer.

I recommend getting some Potty Pads (Nature's Miracle makes good ones and you can get them at PetCo, PetSmart, etc) that are grass-scented. These work for our pup when she refuses to go out in the rain or snow. They smell like outside and you're still training them to go where you want them to even if it's not outside. Good luck! Puppy's, while cute, are most certainly devils. ;)
