15 October 2007

I feel a deluge coming on.

October 15th has been emblazoned in my consciousness for two reasons: Pedagogy Forum paper deadline, and NEOMFA application deadline for Spring 08 admissions. So why am I sitting here eating cashews and drinking diet coke and blogging? I have no good answer for that.

Au sujet de time wasted, I've created a MySpace page for Barn Owl Review. I'm amazed at how many literary entities are on MySpace. Who knew? I really hate those music playing thingers, however. I'm at work, yo!

There's a call for epistolary poems at dancing girl press. Many kudos to Kristy on her new atelier women writers studio. I want to hop in the car and drive to Chicago NOW.

Here are some roiling clouds from Friday. It's going to be in the 70s this week, so Fall may be on hold once again.

Here I am reading from Prairie Fever for Bob Pope's Writers on Writing class a few weeks ago. Note how the students are looking at me like I'm from Neptune. Nobody wanted to sit next to me either, apparently, except that loyal bottle of Aquafina.

I hope the "Facts of Life" theme song didn't disturb you too much. Looking forward to seeing you in NYC!
