The Colt and I are having a lot of fun with our service learning project. But yesterday we did a creative writing class demo for some jr high kids who were so like not into it and whatever. Apparently writing haiku at 9:45 am is like totally uncool and way too hard, yo.
The Colt is just so darn friendly. We bicker sometimes, but I never get ticked at him.

This picture combines my two loves: teaching, and snarling. Now write that damn haiku!
Sara has some really good news. I know what it is, too. It's really good!
Barn Owl Review is now available at Mac's Backs in Coventry. Yay! We're also planning a reading there for local BOR contributors. More info on that, and our release party at Bela Dubby's, coming soon.
Agonizing over choosing ten pages of poetry for the NEA grant, now that I've figured out the bloody form. Any suggestions?

I think I look funny in that picture.
I think we both look funny in those pictures.
Like, funny "haha"?
I'm not so sure....
funny. Like I can't have a picture of me taken.
More of a senryu:
Beneath the "Northeast"
a professor's head captured
in parenthesis
A real haiku:
winter morning:
the tops of trees
reaching the clouds
A better senryu:
In the highness of
my el camino, there is
no word for loser
Sorry about the deletion, right sentiment stated badly...
I rather liked your comment, Steve. ;)
Okay, thank you for saying that. :-)
