I stuck my answers up on my blog: http://landmammal.blogspot.com/2008/11/kick.html
1. The most recent poem I finished is dated November 2 in my notebook. I date poems, in my notebook, with the date I finish them.
2. Title is "second movement." (All lowercase, as given here.)
3. A lone figure over open ground walking through snow.
4. I always have multiple poems percolating in my brain, or wherever poems percolate. I have multiple poems percolating now. (I usually think of it as cooking or fermenting or, maybe germinating. Or taking shape under subterranean geological pressure. I'm not a coffee drinker.)
In my note book I typically have a half dozen or so poems in progress at any one time. I do right now.
5. Just picking one image from one of the in-progress poems at random: a basement room in a government building somewhere in (possibly) Central or South America (or possibly somewhere else), in which a man sits in a chair, with no clothing, his body streaked with sweat, while he is interrogated and tortured by police who were trained by the U.S. military.

as we keep desiring them to be participants
or else any daily things we hear out the window "bad dog"
and continue that afternoon in summer.
Or something like that.
