Ready or not

The end of the semester nears!

After this, only one more week of classes. Of course, then there's exam week and all of the grading, but May is really right around the corner.

Does that mean eventually I'll be able to do some *gasp* reading and writing?

Perhaps I'll start with Brandi Homan's poem at Born.

I love the picture!

That's how I feel right now, too--I am done (& I got my contributor's copy of Gulf Stream today).

I'm feeling pretty arrogant right now, but give me a week.

I'll feel like crap soon and all will be normal.

You know, I just learned from Lifetime's "An Intimate Portrait" that the first lady also enjoys reading. What a coincidence!

What am I doing up so early on a Saturday? Preparing to work my 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift. Tomorrow I'll be preparing for the same shift, then back to swing shift during the week. Count your blessings ...

If it's any comfort Byf, I will be grading from dawn to dusk tomorrow while the others frolic like cunning little lambs in the almost-May sunshine...

Semester is over.

Three beautiful words. But the anxiety doesn't end until *we* mere mortals get our grades.
