Crops of the Americas

Is anyone else in love with these stamps? It's so hard deciding which crop to put on which piece of mail. Will family members be offended if I send the lumpy gourds instead of the sunflower? Will Dominion East Ohio think I'm nuts if I use the Indian corn stamp on my payment, when it's nowhere near fall? Can I cook with those nice looking peppers, or are they just pretend?

These days I am paying bills and reading and generally enjoying my last few moments as a mom-of-one. Barring any surprise labor, not-so-wee Raymond will be arriving Monday, which also happens to be his sister's birthday. Leave it to me to have two kids born exactly four years apart. That detail I did not plan, however.

I am also in love with those stamps. Oh and Jack was due on TJ's birthday--exactly 12 years later--funny eh? I joked that I must have one day a year when I'm a sure thing. ;-)

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'll be posting some more news later today about that.

I like those stamps. I save the sunflower ones for special mail like SASE.

Gerald, that's a good idea re: SASE stamps. Even if it's an icky little rejection slip, at least you get a sunflower!

Suzanne, I realized this morning that I'll be able to do birthday photos in one trip every year. That's a gift in itself!

I like the corn. Especially the blue corn on the right. It's pretty.

I'm excited for you. Funny how our lives fall into patterns even when we least expect/intend them to. . .

Our first two sons had the same due date, five years apart. It didn't work out that way when they were born, but we all got plenty of laughs about it, as suzanne mentioned.

Okay, seriously, if you have two kids that share my birthday, that'll just be really weird. :-)

Steven: 6/12 is your birthday too?

The world just keeps getting stranger, and cooler!
