How many years has it been since I've woken up the day after an election to find good news? This morning was certainly a surprise. Even our school levy passed. Amazing!
Off to Winter Wheat at the end of the week. I hope I start getting excited about it soon. I'm just not into the whole leaving town for conference thing lately, especially since AWPreparations are taking an enormous bite out of my schedule these days.
Oh yes, and then there's that book manuscript I just finished editing. I wasn't nervous at all about the revision process until after I'd made a bunch of changes. I'm hanging out with it for a few more days, and then off it goes. See you soon, Prairie Fever! Hopefully in time for AWP.
I'm really looking forward to spending more time on #2. Book #2, that is.
Open mic reading tonight. There should be a ! after that, but I'd need more coffee to use it sincerely.
