Wishful thinking

I made it through the weekend without getting a dog! I think the desire may be waning, too, so I am going to do everything possible to avoid viewing dogs this week. Tonight Ray and I are going to brush the cats--all five of them, if possible--and then perhaps the last embers of dog-interest will be extinguished.

I am trying like hell to replace my obsession with dogs with an interest in exercise at the gym. Sometimes having a super-goal-oriented personality really bites. I need something to fixate on, other than the obvious to-do list.

I also think I need to spend less time in the office. I don't have a 9-5 job, so I really don't have to keep those hours, especially when there are numerous plants at home begging for some Miracle Grow. Oh yes, and poems to read. And write. Once this summer class is over I am going to take some time off.

I have my Annual Summer Cold. My eyes are so red that I look demonic, but I did not cancel class today. If I had, I wouldn't have stumbled upon this darling little A on campus! It asked for a ride in my bag and lodgings in my office, but I'm not the stealing kind.

Hello Kelly! :)

And Cornshake...I'm glad I am not the only one cruising the internet for hypothetical puppies.
