Here's a rare Saturday night edition of The Word Cage. I didn't realize that Sara didn't get any pics of her graduation on Friday, so here's a wee recap.
I was so proud of Sara when she went up to the mic and read from her ms. Wow! It was a great reading, and so cool to hear some poems I've never heard out loud before. It's tough taking pics of people when they are reading, but I really like this action shot.
Usually I just delete pics like this, where several people are just slivers, but I like seeing Anthony peeking into the frame. Maggie Anderson is handing out flowers and some symbolic herbs and whatnot to the grads. We really do it up in the NEOMFA.
Seriously, if any of my programs had held a graduation like this, I actually would've gone. It was cool how many parents and family members were there. A very, very long time ago my parents saw me read a couple of times.
Here is the cake! They even did the frosting in our letterhead colors. And it was good. Congrats again, Sara!
