I want to lick your magazine.

O, new issue of Crab Creek Review, I have wanted to eat you since the moment I ripped open the envelope. But you are a non-nutritive substance, even if you are the kind of orange I want to paint every room of my house. I love how the framed image works with the orange background. I may keep you in my bed tonight. Your initials are CCR! It's like a secret message to me. Whoever designed this, if I meet you at AWP, I will peel you a clementine.

The work inside is awfully tasty too. I just had to take a photo with some nectarines, which are not rotten, as my fridge has finally been repaired. NOTE: the picture does not do the color justice.

Here is what our weather has been lately. When I was taking the dog out for her afternoon shit, it felt so much like Fall that I almost freaked out about new syllabi. But summer class is coming to an end, and tomorrow I'm grading all day, and by late Friday afternoon I will have nothing to do for the rest of the summer but read hundreds of poetry mss, which is my idea of heaven. As long as heaven contains the above orange color.

I clicked on the CCR link. That IS a delicious cover. If you made me choose between the cover and the clementines, those round little beauties wouldn't stand a chance. If you made me choose between the cover and plums, however.....
