Had an absolute blast reading with the Typewriter Girls yesterday. They really know how to throw a party! I think that every reading I do from now on must include dancing, costumes, and random bottles of whiskey passed through the audience.
It was such a treat meeting Laura and Margaret from Weave Magazine. I really dig Pittsburgh, too, and will definitely be returning for future shows.

Mary B! Your reading was amazing. So many people came up to me afterward wanting to know more about you. You have a budding fan club in Pittsburgh.
I'm totally snagging the picture of me in my costume. Facebook here I come!
Thanks, Laura!
Help yourself to the pics--they are for sharing. :)
Miss you guys already...
Wow! I've been disconnected from the 'burgh poetry scene for a long time. I wasn't aware of all of these awesome things going on...I think I'll have to hook up with the TypeWriterGirls and send some stuff to Weave.
Missing you and hope you're doing well, Mary!
Sounds like a great time. I love the shot of the stockinged legs and shoes. I need a pair of fishnets for sure!
That looked like a ton of fun! Thanks for adding me to the blogroll!!!
Dancing and costumes and random bottles of whiskey, oh my. Does this mean you'll be having those at reading you host from now on as well?
